The Slider platform is a high performance alloy trail machine that features 140mm front- and 135mm rear suspension travel for aggressive riding. IDS Revo suspension technology is used on this mountain bike model, resulting in a stiff and predictable suspension feel with great pedaling stability. The 275 size wheel with large volume tires works perfectly for aggressive trail riding, offering a great balance of grip, stiffness and agility.
IDS uses a solid rear triangle pivoting on 2 short links to create a platform that is stiff. Initial leverage ratio is soft for good small bump performance, ramping up for mid-stroke control, with a slightly regressive end-stroke for bottomless feel.
Rear thru axle provides a stiff and secure fastening of the rear wheel. The frame supports the 142 x 12mm standard and enhances rear wheel tracking in rough trail conditions for added rider control.
Cables are routed below the downtube for a neat appearance and easy maintenance. Cables protect the downtube from debris kicked up by the front wheel, and cable rub is prevented with thoughtfully places cable bosses.
A standard threaded bottom bracket shell makes for quick and simple maintenance, and many trouble free miles.

NZ-Slider – April 26, 2017:
I’ve been riding my Silverback Slider 2 for just over a year now and it would be fair to say I’m just loving it.
I’ve opted for the Slider 2 with 2×10 setup purely due to the mixed terrain I’m riding. Long drawn out climbs and fast decents and rolling single track.
I’ve added a dropper post and replaced the Maxxis Ardent up front with a Maxxis High Roller II which has given me more precise feel across all terrains.
I’ve pretty much thrown everything at this bike and it just keeps delivering in performance and reliability.
I must also put a special shout out to the after sales support team, when I first bought the bike I noticed slight setup issue where a rear linkage had been incorrectly fitted. Within 24 hours of raising the issue with the local store, I had received contact details from Silverback HQ and once the specific issue was isolated repalcement parts were sent out and followed up all the way through to ensure my full satisfaction. Out standing job guys.
