Forget everything you thought you knew about Slade - for 2019 brings something totally new. Featuring our new sweet spot geometry to bring uncompromised climbing and descending prowess to trail bikes. Tyre compatibility is 27.5x2.8" or 29" up to 2.6" wide, giving plenty of setup options and creating our most versatile hardtail ever. 2.6" Tyres are rapidly becoming the final word in trail tyres, offering noticeably improved comfort and grip over 2.3" tyres, but without the weight, rolling resistance and thin carcasses of 2.8". 2019 brings a brand new Slade.

The best do it all Trail hardtail I ever rode. This bicycle makes climbing enjoyable and the riding position is perfectly suited for me. The Slade is also a perfect bicycle to have as as Trail bike if you enjoy the odd dirt jump or double every now and then. Smash it !

I love my Slade. It pushes my comfort zone more often than I care to remember. It is capable far beyond my capability. The black and gold is classy and an attention seeker.

I almost don’t even have the words to describe how amazing this bike is. I absolutely love it. If I had more money one day and needed to upgrade for some reason, I’d seriously consider just sticking with the Slade.

This hardtail is crazy. Climbs are way easier to do than with my previous bikes; haven’t had any spin-outs so to speak. The large tires are epic; the dropper post is a huge help with techy downhill spots, and I appreciate the simplicity of the design and colors.

It’s a solid build with great components and the 140mm travel on the fork is an absolute dream to work with.

    Worth every cent.

Im a proud owner of the 2020 Slade Trail and can’t get enough of it. This is a hardtail that a take to have fun on rather than my duelsuss. I’m all for #borntobefast but this beaut of a bike is #madetobefun . Highly recommend this bike and ofcourse Silverback!

I bought my 2019 model last month and been riding a small variety of trails, everything from steep jeep tracks, techy descents to flow trails. This bike makes it fun across all aspects.

Climbs are super easy with the bike design, the seat dropper is a treat for any downhill sections, the short chainstay makes it easy to whip around any switchbacks and the 140mm fork does the business on any jumps.

A fun all-round bike, great for an AM rider plus the bonus of easy pedalling on tarmac also.

    Cheers Silverback!

I just got into trail riding and decided on the Slade Trail due to its simplicity & quality components, I have ridden it 6 times so far and done everything from technical climbs, black diamond trails and the Hoogekraal bike park. It handles jumps and flow tacks with ease.

This bike is the perfect all rounder! and handles anything you can throw at it. Next test is a 200km bikepacking trip!

    Thanks Silverback!
