Silverback rider, Jennie Stenerhagriding for ABRO in Sweden sealed a second place at the seventh edition of Lidingolopeet MTB race in Sweden on Saturday the 4th of May.
The ice cold weather invited participants and spectators to another thrilling race.
In the women's category, there was a quartet that got a gap quite early in the race. Remaining in the lead was Emmy and Jennie who unlucky took a wrong turn and lost the lead. But when passing the Lidingövallen by 23 km, Jennie and Emmy had taken the lead back by about 15-20 seconds.
“I think we lost about 2 minutes on this. It was just very strange that the marshals did not tell us to turn or shout at us when we went wrong...,’ said Jennie.
“I was calm since I knew we would catch them again, we still had to work hard to do so,” says Jennie.
“So, It was a very disappointing second place for me at this year's first race in Sweden,” adds Jennie.
Jennie Stenerhag rode the Silverback Superspeed, “I have not been on a hardtail for almost 2 years so I was a bit unsure if I would race on it. What a bike!! It was love at the first ride,” adds Jennie.
It has been a fantastic cycling day for everyone who has been out on Lidingö. There were more than 2,400 cyclists.
